Cat and Léa’s character home lifestyle engagement session was a real treat! It’s not often we get to do in-home engagement sessions (seriously, we’d love to do more!) but when we do, I love the challenge. When you walk into someone’s home, you never really know what to expect! What will the layout be like, or the light from the windows? When you find just the right little pockets of light, you can create some pretty magical moments. If you’re nervous about being in front of a camera, being in familiar surroundings can often help a bit with those photo jitters. Cat and Léa’s cute character home in Regina was full of books, art, photo memories, and bits and pieces of a well-loved life. The amount of photos the two of them had around their home really stuck out to me. I really loved how many framed photos there were around their home. I think it may have inspired me to try to get some more of our own photos up on our walls, too.
Most importantly, their home was also home to their sweet kitten, Ponyo. Naturally, she stole my heart. What can I say, I’m a sucker for animals, especially cute cats like Ponyo! She gave me a little bit of unexpected sass, but to be fair, I HAD BEEN WARNED. 😹
There were so many side-splitting laughs at this session, that our faces hurt for HOURS afterwards. We love when our couples let loose during their engagement session. We’re more interested in the way that our couples interact with each other. So laugh, dance, kiss, and tell jokes. Your engagement session is about more than just creating pretty photos, it’s also about creating new memories.
From dancing in the kitchen, to snuggles on the bed, Cat and Léa’s character home lifestyle engagement session was one of our many favourite sessions from this year. Keep scrolling to find out why. 😉
