Regina Sk and Nelson BC Boudoir: Shoot Day

If you’ve been considering booking a boudoir session for yourself, you’re probably wondering what a typical shoot day with The Babes Club looks like from start to finish in our Nelson, BC studio!

When you arrive to the studio on your session day, the first thing we’ll do is lay out everything you brought for outfit options. I’ll ask you if you have any very favourite pieces you want to make sure we incorporate into your shoot.

Once our outfit choices are complete we’ll head straight into the studio and get to work! This is where the REAL fun begins.

Shoot Time!

During our shoot I’ll check in with you often to make sure you’re feeling comfortable and relaxed. I’ll show you each and every pose that I want you to replicate for the camera, and I’ll work within your physical limitations if you have any. (Bad knees? I’m sure not going to make you kneel on the hardwood floor!) I will also be coaching you on your facial expressions, where to look, and everything in between. The last thing we want is for you to feel like you don’t know what you’re doing. I also don’t want you to be worried that what you’re doing looks good to the camera! My job is to help you look and feel your best, too.

After about an hour of shooting we’ll wrap up our session. I’ll head back to my home office and get to work on preparing your images for your big reveal!

The Big Reveal

About 1-2 weeks after your shoot you’ll get to see all of your images for the first time! We’ll meet up together via a video call and I’ll share my screen to show you your beautiful gallery of images. This is also when you’ll choose your favourites to be printed. We offer a wide range of products to showcase your portraits like albums, matted prints, and our gorgeous metal wall art.

Once we’ve finished with your reveal, we’re all done! Typically albums and prints take about 4-6 weeks to come back from my lab. So, if you need your products by a specific date keep please let me know when booking. This way we can plan your session date accordingly! It is best to book your shoot no later than 2 months prior to your deadline. This allows us plenty of time to make sure everything is ready for the date you need. We typically book clients anywhere up to six months in advance but do sometimes have last minute openings.
