The Babes Guide to Budgeting

Money has been coined as such a dirty word in our society. Something that a lot of us don’t understand and that a lot of us have grown to fear. Simply because we don’t have the tools to keep, save, and spend our money appropriately. I’m here to change all of that for you with The Babes Guide to Budgeting!

The Babes Guide to Budgeting

Why did I decide to write a guide on budgeting? Well, when I first met my now-husband Shawn in 2016 I was very very broke. I was going through a divorce and was living in my overdraft. I had two maxed out credit cards to the tune of about $12,000. There was also my student loan I could barely make the payments on, and debt collectors calling me several times a day. Not even making it “paycheque to paycheque”, my next pay period would never cover my overspending from my current one. I was spending my money more quickly than I could make it. I was selling my possessions in an attempt to cover my bills and feed myself and my two cats. Let me tell you, it was probably the most disempowered I’d ever felt in my entire life.

It took me until Shawn and I moved in together to finally crawl permanently out of my overdraft, but it took even longer before I finally got a handle on my expenses and finally at the age of 31, learned how to budget and manage my money.

This workbook will teach you the steps that I took to finally feel empowered by my financial situation. I’ll also teach you how I learned how to make my money work for ME instead of feeling like I constantly needed to be working for money. It is a hard cycle to break but infinitely worth the effort.

No more drowning.

I know how it feels to feel like you’re drowning in debt. You don’t know where your money goes every month. To worry about how you’re going to pay your bills. I was there, too. It took me years of research and reading, trial and error, to finally get a handle on my finances. With The Babes Guide to Budgeting, my goal is to teach you how to understand and budget your money so you can get out of debt. You’ll save for that needed vacation and finally feel empowered by instead of scared of your money.

I’ve tried many ways of managing my finances over the years, and the method I teach in this guide is the one that I think is the easiest to follow and most importantly commit to. With The Babes Guide to Budgeting you’re stepping into to a lifestyle change that your future self is going to thank you for.
